Pedestrian identified in fatal Colorado Springs accident
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Police in Colorado Springs have identified the man killed as a result of injuries sustained in a pedestrian accident in early December.
According to The Gazette, the accident occurred at about 5 p.m. on December 9th as 67-year-old William C. James was attempting to cross within the 1300 block of South Nevada Avenue and was struck by an oncoming pickup truck.
James was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on January 2nd. Investigators believe he was attempting to cross outside of the designated crosswalk when the accident occurred.
No charges have been filed against the driver involved in the crash at this time.
