News 9 reports that the deadly collision happened at about 1:30 a.m. on September 7, when a vehicle crashed into 26-year-old Christopher Patton and a group of four standup scooter riders at the intersection of 14th and Arapahoe Streets. Patton was knocked onto the sidewalk, receiving a fatal head injury. A second man was taken to a nearby hospital, but has since been released.
Denver police eventually caught up to the vehicle involved in the crash, a silver two-door 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt, on October 15. However, they have not yet apprehended its driver. In a press conference held this morning, they asked that anyone with knowledge of the vehicle and its driver to contact them as soon as possible.
