News: Charges filed against woman involved in fatal motorcycle crash
ADAMS COUNTY, CO – Prosecutors filed charges on Tuesday against a woman who struck and killed a pair of motorcyclists late last month.
According to ABC 7, the incident occurred in Thornton on September 26th, when a Ford Escape driven by 26-year-old Dillan Avis collided with a motorcycle at the intersection of 104th Avenue and Washington Street. Riders Michael and Krisi Schaff, 44 and 43, died at the scene.
The Schaffs are survived by three children, aged 12 through 20.
Avis faces two counts of careless driving resulting in death. She is due in Adams County Court on November 24.
