Elderly woman killed in Aurora pedestrian accident
AURORA, CO – Officers with the Aurora Police Department responded to a fatal pedestrian accident that took the life of a 75-year-old woman Sunday evening.
According to 9 News, the incident occurred at about 5:22 p.m. along East Colfax Avenue near the intersection with Clinton Street.
Police say the woman was attempting to cross the street against the crosswalk when she was struck by an SUV. The male driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. They do not believe speed or impairment played a role in the collision at this time.
The woman’s name is being withheld pending notification of family members.
