1 Killed, 7 Injured in two-vehicle Grand County crash
GRAND COUNTY, CO – Seven people were injured and one woman died as the result of a head-on collision on Berthoud Pass Sunday morning.
According to CBS 4, the accident occurred around 11 a.m., when the driver of a 2005 Ford pickup truck lost control of their vehicle and collided head-on with a 2014 Jeep Cherokee in the eastbound lanes of Highway 40.
A 60-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
Two juveniles and a 39-year-old woman were flown to nearby hospitals to be treated for serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
No further information on what may have led up to the crash is available at this time. However, road conditions may have been a factor.
